About the Montreal Aviation Museum
The Montreal Aviation Museum (MAM) is the only one of its kind in Quebec combining civil and military aircraft, artifacts and memorabilia. It contains two workshops for the construction and preservation of historically significant aircraft and a working flight simulator. Other wings of the museum have been transformed into an art gallery, machine shop, administration offices, conference room, library and an artifact preservation area.
History:
Founded by Godfrey Pasmore in 1998, the Montreal Aviation Museum is situated in the historical "Old Stone Barn" on the Macdonald Campus of McGill University in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (Montreal), Quebec. In 1998, a rental agreement was arranged through the Macdonald Campus/McGill University administration for a portion of this building to be refurbished and used as the site of the Museum. It has the full support of many established cultural and educational organizations, including the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and McGill University.
Governance:
The Montreal Aviation Museum is a community oriented, registered non-profit organization. Its by-laws are incorporated in Article A of the Museum's charter which governs the management, membership, meetings and committees, elected officers, nomination and election of directors, and other operational factors pertaining to the MAM. Donations are received and tax receipts are prepared in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.

The volunteers are the heart of our Museum contributing their talents, knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to our mission and, in turn, provide an invaluable service to our community. Without their dedication and hard work, the museum would not be what it is today.
